FR-01 .:. FEATURES

The FR-01 is a single seat, low wing and fixed landing gear aircraft. The main feature of the aircraft is the high power to weight ratio and the capability to make aerobatics with a low operating costs.
The structure is metallic with 4130 steel fuselage and aluminium alloy wing, stabilizer/elevator and fin. Rudder and aileron are made in composite carbon/glass/epoxy structure and so the fuselage cover and engine cowlings. The lower fuselage is covered by fabric while the main landing gear is a single 2024T3 bended and tapered component.
The rudder pedals allow the confortable seating of people from 1,6 to 1,98mt.
The standard fuel tank is in central position and is an antiexplosion type. The main unit is a 35litres tank while as an optional is possible to install an acro tank below the main tank that allows the aircraft to make the inverted flight if the electronic injection and inverted oil system (optional) are installed.
The total amount of fuel is about 40litres in frontal main tank and 20+20litres in the optional wing tanks. A 3 ways ANDAIR fuel valve allows the switching from the tanks and the shut off. All hoses in the cabin are in steel with AN fittings while an optional full FIA approved OMP integrated fire extinguisher system is available (the system has a double internal and external switch).
The electrical system is equipped with a gel SPARK 500 battery and three cockpit panel configurations are available.
The standard engine is the 80hp Rotax 912A (Ultralight version) but the ROTAX 912S can be installed. Finally is possible to install a special ROTAX 912S derived engine powered and modified by EPAPOWER/SG Fly evolution. This engine has a complete inverted oil system, fuel injection and carbon fiber airbox. Also, the cylinders are blue coloured while the cylinder heads are chromed.
The exhaust system is a 4 in 1 type with central muffler and optional smoke system.
MT constant speed Propeller is available as an optional.
With EPAPOWER powered ROTAX and MT-Propeller the thrust is 260kgf (573lbf) with a MTOW of 375kg (826lb) and 130hp power (weight to power ratio = 2.9kg/hp – 4.4lbs/hp as most unlimited aerobatics aircrafts).
